Why I started Pure Stills Photography
I started Pure Stills Photography because I’ve loved photography for years, but more than that, I wanted to create images that feel real. Life is not perfectly posed, and honestly, that’s what makes it beautiful. I wanted to give people photos that capture genuine connection, emotion, and the little in-between moments they may not even realize are worth remembering until later.
My photography style: Natural, emotional, and real
I’d describe my photography style as natural, emotional, and real. I’m not chasing stiff, overly posed images that feel forced. I want your photos to feel like you, just in the most honest and beautiful way. I love capturing the in-between moments, the real smiles, the quiet looks, the laughter, and the little things that might seem small in the moment but end up meaning everything later. What clients seem to appreciate most is that I help them feel comfortable. A lot of people come in nervous, thinking they’re awkward in front of the camera, and I love being the one to ease that pressure. I keep things relaxed, guide when needed, and leave space for genuine moments to happen naturally. I think people appreciate that I’m not trying to make them fit into some perfect box. I want them to feel seen, comfortable, and like themselves, and that usually shows up in the final images.
What I want you to feel
I’d want you to leave feeling like I’m someone real. Not overly polished, not fake, and not just another photographer trying to create perfect-looking images that don’t actually feel like anything. I’d want you to understand that I care about people first and photos second, because the best images come from trust, comfort, and genuine connection. As a person, I’d want you to see that I’m warm, down-to-earth, and easy to be around. As a photographer, I’d want you to know I’m drawn to the honest stuff, the messy, beautiful, emotional, in-between moments that make life what it is. More than anything, I’d want you to leave feeling like if you book with me, you don’t have to show up perfect. You can just show up as yourselves, and that will be enough.
